A neighbor climbed over the fence and violently beat a 65-year-old man to death inside his home. The wife revealed a three-year-long dispute involving accusations that he sent harassing photos. Although he tried to explain that he did not do so, the other party refused to believe him.
At around 23:00 on 19 June 2026, investigators from Sa Waeng Ha Police Station were notified of a fatal assault inside a residence in Village No. 5, Huai Phai Subdistrict, Sa Waeng Ha District, Ang Thong Province. They, along with Ruamkatanyu Foundation personnel, proceeded to investigate the scene.
At the scene, the body of Mr. Saiwai, 65, was found lying in a pool of blood inside the house. The body showed severe head injuries. Nearby, a wooden stick about one meter long was found and collected as evidence.
Mrs. Pranom, 59, the victim’s wife who witnessed the event, said the attacker was a neighbor living next door. Their families had been in conflict for nearly three years because the attacker often accused her husband of sending harassing and disturbing images. Despite repeated attempts to clarify that he was not responsible, the attacker refused to believe this and frequently shouted insults.
Before the incident, while she was showering inside the house, she heard what sounded like an argument. She rushed out and saw the attacker violently striking her husband with the wooden stick. She tried to stop him but failed, then grabbed her phone to call the police. However, the attacker ran over, snatched the phone from her, and fled the scene.
The victim’s wife also stated that throughout the conflict, both parties had ongoing confrontations, prompting the construction of a fence between the houses to avoid contact. On the day of the incident, the attacker climbed over the fence into their yard and assaulted her husband to death. CCTV footage captured the event.
Police have identified the suspect and are actively pursuing him for prosecution under the law. They are also interviewing witnesses and gathering additional evidence to determine the true cause of the incident.
