A 17-year-old red-haired girl with tattoos was found murdered and dumped in a trash bin in Rayong. Recently, police arrested her 16-year-old boyfriend, who confessed, claiming a violent argument over jealousy before disposing of the body to conceal the crime.
On 19 Jun 2026 GMT+7, developments in the shocking case of “Nong Fon,” a 17-year-old from Nakhon Ratchasima, who was found stuffed in a black bag and dumped in a roadside trash bin in Moo 8, Krasae Bon Subdistrict, Klaeng District, Rayong, were reported. At Klaeng Police Station, Pol. Maj. Gen. Chokchai Ngamwong, Deputy Commander of Region 2 Police, held a meeting to follow up after investigators detained Mr. O (alias), 16, the victim’s boyfriend, for questioning.
Initially, the suspect confessed to the crime, stating he argued with Nong Fon, his 17-year-old girlfriend, over jealousy. He suspected she was secretly communicating with another man, leading to a heated argument at their home before he used a durian-cutting knife, his work tool, to stab her three times, killing her instantly.
After the act, Mr. O placed the body in a black bag and covered it with clothes to hide evidence. He then used a sidecar motorcycle to transport the body to a public roadside trash bin, intending to mislead authorities. Additionally, he put the victim’s clothes and personal items in a black bag and left them in a basket at the front of the house to destroy evidence and divert investigation.
Authorities later seized several items as evidence, including shoes, a towel, a comb, a bra, a handbag, and a basket, which will undergo detailed forensic examination.
Reporters said a key clue leading police to the suspect was the victim’s mobile phone and a missing motorcycle, linking to two men. Investigators tracked the victim’s phone usage timeline, revealing:
Coordinating with the victim’s mother revealed that Nong Fon may have gone to see another young man, Mr. O, aged 16. Police found his registered residence in Thang Kewian Subdistrict, Klaeng District, only about 3.5 kilometers from where the body was discovered.
At Klaeng Police Station, many relatives and local residents gathered to follow the case, expressing shock and criticism as both were students, and no one expected jealousy to escalate into such a tragedy.
The suspect’s great-grandfather, speaking with a trembling voice, said he was deeply shocked upon learning that his grandson had killed his girlfriend. He recalled seeing them riding a motorcycle together near their home as usual and never imagined such violence would occur.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Chokchai Ngamwong, Deputy Commander of Region 2 Police, said that detailed investigation steps and the reenactment of the confession require further discussion with the Klaeng Police Chief. Since they are awaiting a thorough suspect interrogation and considering connections to other possible accomplices, full information cannot be disclosed at this time.
