Operation Targets Foreign Nominee Networks with 59 Arrest Warrants and 60 Search Warrants in Phuket, Phang Nga, and Krabi for Illegal Land and Shareholding

Police launched an operation to dismantle foreign nominee networks in "Phuket, Phang Nga, and Krabi" with 59 arrest warrants and 60 search warrants, focusing on illegal land possession and shareholding.

At 6:00 a.m. today (20 June 2026), in front of Phuket City Police Station, Pol. Lt. Gen. Nopphasin Poolsawat, Commander of the Office of the National Police Commander, presided over the launch ceremony of the third phase of the crackdown on foreign nominee networks.

Present were Pol. Maj. Gen. Narongrit Dansuwan, Deputy Commander of Region 8 Police; Pol. Maj. Gen. Sinlert Sukhum, Commander of Phuket Provincial Police; Pol. Maj. Gen. Chutharet Yingyongdamrongsakul, Commander of Immigration Division 6; Mr. Thanawat Patsadarak, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Lands; Mr. Trirat Thepporirak, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Lands; along with representatives from local administration, provincial commerce offices, provincial labor offices, land offices, and related agencies participating in the operation.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Nopphasin Poolsawat said the operation follows the Prime Minister's directive for the Royal Thai Police to crack down on foreign nominees. The first and second phases were conducted on Koh Phangan, Surat Thani Province.

The third phase is being conducted today in Phuket, Phang Nga, and Krabi provinces, with all relevant agencies mobilized. A total of 59 arrest warrants and 60 search warrants are being executed, with 29 companies targeted in Phuket alone.

Today's operation focuses on nominees holding land and companies where foreigners hold a greater share proportion than Thais and also possess land unlawfully.

Police and related agencies have been investigating the area for a month before today’s operation. Searches revealed some individuals hold only social security cards and state welfare cards, indicating they lack the financial capacity to participate in joint ventures.
