
Cyber police continue their crackdown on online gambling networks during the 2026 World Cup, arresting an admin of the "PHAYAK789" network who secretly operated a base in Saraburi Province. The site has been operating for over 3 years with an average turnover exceeding 40 million baht per month, or over 500 million baht annually.
On 20 June 2026, Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol Prembutr, Commissioner of the Cyber Crime Division, along with Pol. Lt. Gen. Naradet Thiprak, Commissioner at the Royal Thai Police Office assigned to assist the Cyber Crime Division, Pol. Maj. Gen. Wiwat Khamchamnarn, Deputy Commissioner of the Cyber Crime Division, Pol. Maj. Gen. Krittach Bamrungrattanayot, Commander of Cyber Crime Division 4, ordered Pol. Col. Komsan Meepakdee, Deputy Commander of Cyber Crime Division 4, Pol. Col. Puttipat Phanomchaijirakul, Commander of Section 4, Cyber Crime Division 4, Pol. Lt. Wisut Krutchun, Inspector of Section 4, Cyber Crime Division 4, and Pol. Lt. Anat Khumthong, Inspector of Section 4, Cyber Crime Division 4,
to lead a raid with a search warrant from the Saraburi Provincial Court No. K.5/2569 on a house located in Village No. 9, Subdistrict Sap Sunun, Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province. They arrested Ms. Nilubon Siyangnok, 31, the homeowner, and seized evidence including one laptop, one mobile phone, and one set of electronic equipment.
Following government policy and orders from Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet, Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, the Cyber Crime Division and related agencies are intensifying efforts to crack down on online gambling networks, especially those offering online football betting, which continue to operate defiantly without regard for the law. They are also monitoring and preventing youth involvement during the 2026 World Cup event, scheduled from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
The investigation by Section 4, Cyber Crime Division 4, identified the website "PHAYAK789" with over 20,000 members, operating for more than 3 years. It has an average monthly turnover exceeding 40 million baht, or over 500 million baht annually. The site clandestinely offered various online gambling services including international football betting, lottery, slots, baccarat, dragon tiger, hi-lo, pok deng, and many other games.
The website facilitated money transfers for online gambling through automated bank account systems. Users could also request withdrawals directly on the site. Website admins provided assistance or acted on behalf of the site, handling issues related to registration, financial transactions, and offering advice or invitations to engage in online gambling activities on the platform.
Further investigation revealed that this gambling website secretly operated a base in Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province. After collecting sufficient evidence, authorities obtained a court warrant to search the residence and arrested the offender along with seizing the evidence.
During interrogation, Ms. Nilubon admitted to working as an admin answering customer inquiries for the gambling website for over 2 years, receiving a monthly salary of 25,000 baht.
Police charged her with "conspiring to provide or set up online gambling, or making lures, advertising, or directly or indirectly inviting others to play or gamble via electronic media without authorization from officials," and took her into custody for further legal proceedings.
