The National Police Chief denies any influential pressure forced Sgt. Jak to close his Facebook page amid the controversy, explaining that the closure was due to an excessive number of complaints that left him without time to manage it. He has recently discussed guidance with the Sai Noi Police Station chief.
At 11:25 a.m. on 22 Jun 2026 GMT+7 at the Government House, Police General Kittirat Phanphet, the National Police Chief, spoke about the case of the Facebook pages "Here is Sai Noi" and "Sgt. Jak Traffic Sai Noi," both operated by police officers from Sai Noi Police Station in Nonthaburi Province, closing their pages simultaneously, which sparked criticism suggesting they encountered obstacles. He asked the public not to criticize based on possible misunderstandings and said he has already spoken with the Sai Noi Police Station chief.
He acknowledged that Sgt. Jak is an influencer for the police and the station, a hardworking individual. However, the truth is that Sgt. Jak told the media yesterday that the volume of complaints directed to him was so large that he had no time to properly manage or resolve them. Therefore, he wished to close the page himself and reopen a new one. It is known that Sgt. Jak has already opened a new page. The Police Chief advised the station chief to remain steadfast in their work, manage the information Sgt. Jak gathered by distributing the workload, which would be beneficial and prevent wavering. He urged them to continue working and reaffirmed that no influential pressure is forcing them.
