Drug Dealer Arrested in Suksawat Area Using Fried Meatball Shop as Front, Stuffing Meth Pills Inside Meatballs Sold at 18 Baht Each

"Tor," a drug dealer in the Suksawat area, operated a fried meatball shop as a front, hiding a three-story drug den behind it. Evidence showed drugs were stuffed inside meatballs to deceive authorities. The location offered a full-service drug consumption spot, including a wooden bridge for escape across the river when police arrived. The suspect has an extreme criminal record with five previous arrests. He confessed but denied stuffing drugs inside meatballs, believing he was framed by rivals targeting his business. This time, he claimed he wanted to quit for his child's sake.

At 10:00 p.m. on 27 June 2026, Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Theeradech Thammasuthi, Deputy Commissioner responsible for narcotics, Pol. Col. Worapot Rungkrajang, Deputy Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau's Investigation Division, Pol. Lt. Col. Eksit Worakittakorn, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation 1, Metropolitan Police Bureau, Pol. Lt. Col. Thanyapeerasit Junpipop, Superintendent of Investigation 3, Metropolitan Police Bureau, Pol. Lt. Sitwat Yangun, Investigating Officer of Wat Prayakrai Police Station, Pol. Lt. Worapat Saengtianprai, Investigator of Investigation Division 2, Provincial Police Region 2, along with Mr. Parin Mekanan, Director of the Bangkok Narcotics Suppression Office, Mr. Adirek Onlamul, Director of the Narcotics Suppression Division, Sub-Lieutenant Kittiphat Rattanaphakdi, Narcotics Investigator, and
Pol. Col. Watcharapol Suwananthawong, Superintendent of Rat Burana Police Station,

led officers from the Narcotics Suppression Command Center, Metropolitan Police Narcotics Suppression Division, Bangkok Narcotics Suppression Office, and Rat Burana Police Station to arrest Mr. Sataporn Photong, or "Tor," aged 46, residing at 170/5 Sakaengam Road, Samae Dam Subdistrict, Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok. He is wanted under the Thonburi Criminal Court warrants No. J.565/2569 dated 25 May 2026 for conspiracy to commit serious narcotics offenses and jointly selling Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) without permission, issued by Thian Thale Police Station.

And under warrant No. J.566/2569 dated 25 May 2026 for money laundering, also issued by Thian Thale Police Station.

He was arrested at a fried meatball shop in Suksawat 26 Alley, Bang Pakok Subdistrict, Rat Burana District, Bangkok, with evidence including 37 methamphetamine pills, one bag of crystal meth, numerous drug paraphernalia, small bags for drug sales, and one mobile phone. Investigations revealed a large customer base.

Following tips from the Metropolitan Police Narcotics Suppression Division's field investigation in the Thung Khru area, residents reported a drug dealer hiding narcotics inside fried meatballs. Upon investigation, officers found the source was a fried meatball shop in Suksawat 26 Alley, secretly selling meth pills at 18 baht each. The dealer, Mr. Tor, was arrested on site. Officers were surprised to find the shop, which appeared small outside, actually extended over three large floors with a complex layout resembling a termite nest. A "full-service drug consumption point" was found at the rear, equipped with sofas and paraphernalia. A wooden bridge was discovered, likely for customers to escape across the river if police arrived. A large hall inside housed a gambling machine. Mr. Tor's 74-year-old father claimed ownership of the gambling machine.
Mr. Tor confessed to being a drug dealer due to insufficient income, having fled from the Thian Thale area to settle here. He admitted he was lucky to be caught now because he intended to quit selling and using drugs for the sake of his nine-month-old child. Normally, he ordered drugs in batches of 300-500 pills. He believes it is fortunate he decided to quit for his child. Regarding the claim that drugs were stuffed inside meatballs, he denied it and asserted he was framed by those hostile to his business. He previously served three prison terms and vowed this arrest would be his last.

Records show Mr. Tor has faced five drug-related cases: 1. On 20 October 2012, arrested for possession with intent to sell and using Category 1 narcotics at Bang Mod Police Station.
2. On 24 March 2017, arrested for joint possession with intent to sell Category 1 narcotics at Rat Burana Police Station.
3. On 11 April 2023, arrested for selling or possessing Category 1 narcotics, caught with 110 meth pills at Rat Burana Police Station. 4. On 7 April 2026, charged with money laundering at Thian Thale Police Station.
5. On 27 April 2026, charged with conspiracy by two or more persons to commit serious narcotics offenses; police extended investigations from a network of dealers selling meth pills at 18 baht each in Thian Thale jurisdiction.

Before additional charges were filed, Mr. Tor was charged with possession and intent to distribute Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine and crystal meth) for commercial purposes, illegally spreading among the public. Regarding the gambling machine, Mr. Tor's 74-year-old father claimed ownership. Both were detained with seized evidence and handed over to investigators at Rat Burana Police Station for further charges.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Theeradech Thammasuthi, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau and Deputy Police Spokesperson, stated the investigation revealed Mr. Tor originally operated in Thian Thale jurisdiction and was a key figure in drug distribution there. After a warrant was issued and police pursued him, he fled to Thung Khru and operated inside this fried meatball shop. Authorities remain skeptical of his statements, noting his creativity in illegal methods such as using gambling machines to promote drug sales, quickly making the shop a notorious drug distribution point locally.

This operation aligns with the policy of Pol. Gen. Samran Nuamma, Deputy Commissioner of Police, who ordered action against key local dealers to demonstrate police presence and crackdown close to communities. Further investigations will continue thoroughly. The public is urged to report any tips via hotline 1386 or 191, or through the Metropolitan Police Bureau's Facebook page. Any public distress will be promptly addressed following policies set by Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panpech, Police Commissioner, and Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Metropolitan Police Commissioner.
