Police Spokesperson Confirms Coordination with AFP on Thai Flight Attendant Detained in Australia for Heroin Possession

The police spokesperson revealed coordination with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) confirming that a Thai female flight attendant found with heroin is being detained in Australia and is undergoing legal procedures.


On 29 June 2026, Police Lieutenant General Trairong Phiwpan, Deputy Chief of the National Police and spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police, disclosed that regarding reports of a Thai female crew member of an airline being detained by Australian authorities,

the Royal Thai Police have coordinated with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) in Thailand, who confirmed that the individual has indeed been detained and is currently undergoing legal proceedings in Australia.

According to preliminary information from the AFP, the individual has no prior criminal record in Australia and is currently held at the Dame Phyllis Frost Correctional Centre, a women's prison in Victoria, while awaiting legal processing in Australia.

The Royal Thai Police will continue close coordination with relevant domestic and international agencies to monitor the case's progress, investigate the facts, and take appropriate legal actions as necessary.
