In Trat, a 32-year-old man grabbed a stick and brutally beat a 61-year-old man nearly to death, then dragged his body onto a three-wheeled cart, leaving two guns behind as evidence. Unable to withstand pressure from authorities, he allowed relatives to bring him in to surrender at Khao Saming Police Station. The police detained and intensely interrogated him, but he still refused to reveal where he hid or concealed the victim’s body. He claimed that during the escape, the older man jumped off the cart and ran away on his own.
The local administration of Thung Nonsi Subdistrict, Khao Saming District, Trat Province, received reports of a violent fight with a severely injured person in Nak Prasit Alley, Village No. 9, Thung Nonsi Subdistrict. Police from Khao Saming Station were called to investigate and identified the suspect as Mr. Witthawat, or Mos, 32, who used a stick to beat Mr. Boonyoo, approximately 61 years old, nearly to death before dragging him onto a three-wheeled cart and abandoning him in a pond, leaving behind two guns. Residents were fearful and reluctant to provide information, while rescue teams urgently searched for the victim, as previously reported.
Regarding this case, at 23:00 on 30 June 2026, after police and local administration forces jointly surrounded and exerted heavy pressure in several subdistricts, Mr. Mos contacted officials to surrender. Relatives attempted to shield him out of fear he might be shot by authorities. He was then taken into custody for questioning at Khao Saming Police Station.
Most recently, at 01:00 today (1 July 2026), police officers and the suspect’s mother continued to persuade and rigorously interrogate Mr. Mos to make him disclose where he hid or concealed Mr. Boonyoo’s body.
