On the morning of 1 July 2026, Moss contacted relatives by phone, stating that while loading Uncle Boonyoo’s body onto the saleng cart, the victim fell midway in the rubber plantation, after which Moss fled. This contradicts his earlier claim that the victim ran away on his own.
After receiving this information, rescue workers from the Sawang Boon Chuay Tham Sathan Trat Association, together with local officials, village chiefs, and residents, mobilized to search the suspected crime scene in the rubber plantation.
Around 10:00 AM, villagers found Uncle Boonyoo’s body in the rubber plantation near Wat Chak Klang alley, about 3 kilometers from the incident site. The body was found lying face down, naked, awaiting autopsy to determine the cause of death.
At 10:30 AM, police discovered the blue saleng cart involved, registered in Trat, abandoned near Huai Raeng Reservoir in Village 9, over 10 kilometers from where the body was found. Inside the cart were a blue container holding rubber sludge and a basket.
