Cyber police arrested two Myanmar administrators of the online gambling site "Las Vegas LV177" who had secretly established its base in Mae Sot. The site had operated for over two years with financial transactions exceeding 70 million baht per month, or more than 840 million baht annually.
On 30 June, Pol. Lt. Gen. Suraphol Prembutr, Commander of the Cyber Crime Division, along with Pol. Lt. Gen. Naradet Thiprak, Commander at the Office of the Royal Thai Police, assigned Pol. Col. Anucha Srisamrong, Superintendent of Division 2, Cyber Crime Division 4, and his team—including Deputy Commanders Pol. Col. Wiwat Khamchamnarn and Pol. Col. Krittach Bamrungratyos— to carry out the operation.
They executed a search warrant No. 131/2569 from the Mae Sot Provincial Court at a house in Village 10, Mae Pa Subdistrict, Mae Sot District, Tak Province, arresting Ms. Thatsana, 27, and Ms. Seel Sa Nua, 26, both Myanmar nationals. Authorities seized one computer, one iPad, one mobile phone, and one router as evidence.
This operation aligns with government policy and directives from Police General Kittirat Phanphet, Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, instructing the Cyber Crime Division and related agencies to continue cracking down on online gambling networks, especially football betting sites that openly defy the law during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The arrest followed an investigation by the investigation team of Division 2, Cyber Crime Division 4, which detected the website "Las Vegas LV177" with over 40,000 members. The site had been operating for more than two years, handling over 70 million baht monthly or more than 840 million baht annually. It illicitly offered online gambling services including international football betting, lottery, slots, baccarat, and other games, with its base in Mae Sot District, Tak Province. Evidence was gathered to obtain a search warrant before arresting the two suspects along with the confiscated items.
During questioning, both suspects admitted to working as paid administrators responding to customer chats for this online gambling website for over one year, earning a monthly salary of 30,000 baht each.
They face charges of jointly advertising or directly or indirectly enticing others to gamble without official permission, and jointly organizing or facilitating unauthorized gambling activities, violating the Gambling Act. The suspects were detained and handed over to the Mae Sot Police Station to proceed with legal action under the warrant.
