Brutal Murder and Burial of Three Family Members in Cassava Field, Phaisali District, Nakhon Sawan: Former Son-in-Law Arrested

A brutal murder and burial of three family members—a father, mother, and child—in a cassava field in Phaisali District, Nakhon Sawan has led to the arrest of a former son-in-law. He confessed to committing the crime, motivated by family conflicts and property disputes.

On 2 July 2026 in Nakhon Sawan Province, reporters reported that three family members mysteriously disappeared from their home in Ban Mai Wareeyen, Village No. 8, Phaisali Subdistrict, Phaisali District, Nakhon Sawan. Evidence suggests an intruder broke into the house and disabled the CCTV system before the three disappeared. The family pickup truck was last seen in Khlong Ha area, Pathum Thani Province.

In the latest development, police from Phaisali Police Station inspected the cassava field belonging to the victims and found disturbed soil with signs of recent digging covered by leaves. Investigators then coordinated with forensic officials from the Nakhon Sawan Provincial Police.

Reports indicate police apprehended a suspect, the former son-in-law, in Chonburi Province. He initially confessed to killing his father-in-law, mother-in-law, and former girlfriend. The motive reportedly stemmed from family conflicts and disputes over the victims' property.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Nareewit Sukonthawit, Commander of Nakhon Sawan Provincial Police, is personally conducting interrogations on site.

Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
