Raid on Illegal Pub in Bueng Kan Finds Underage Patrons and Drugs Scattered on Floor

The Anti-Human Trafficking Division raided an illegal pub in Bueng Kan where more than 49 underage youths gathered, with the youngest only 13 years old. Authorities found drugs scattered on the floor.

On 5 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Witthaya Sriprasertphap, commander of the Anti-Human Trafficking Division, ordered Pol. Col. Siramet Methithanawijit, superintendent of Division 3, along with Pol. Lt. Kasidetch Charoenlap, deputy superintendent, and Pol. Lt. Kiattibodin Wongngam, officer of Division 3, to lead a raid on an entertainment venue in Seka Subdistrict, Seka District, Bueng Kan Province.

The police had received complaints that the venue, a single-story building, was operating illegally as a pub without a license. It was also allowing minors to gather and drink alcohol freely, without checking IDs or verifying ages at the entrance.

Police from Division 3 then surrounded and inspected the venue, finding over 300 male and female patrons drinking and dancing wildly to music. Officers ordered the music to stop and the lights turned on to check IDs.

Upon checking, they found 49 patrons under the age of 20, including the youngest who was only 13 years old, drinking beer and liquor inside the venue.

Additionally, methamphetamine (ice) and methamphetamine pills were found scattered on the floor and in the restroom. It was believed that patrons had hurriedly discarded the drugs when the officers arrived. These were seized as evidence.

Initially, officers arrested Apichai, 27, who confessed to owning the venue. He was charged with operating an unlicensed establishment, selling alcohol to persons under 20, and encouraging or allowing minors to engage in inappropriate behavior. He was transferred to the Seka Police Station in Bueng Kan Province for legal action.
