Cyber police arrested football influencer Jaruwat Pribwai, known as “Waw Jaruwat,” who live-streamed World Cup match analyses before luring viewers to join a VIP gambling group. He confessed to receiving a monthly salary of 50,000 baht.
On 7 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Wiwat Kamchamnarn, Deputy Commander of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, along with Pol. Col. Roj Sak Naiphongsri, Superintendent of Division 2, led a team with a court search warrant No. 489/2569 dated 6 Jul to search a condominium unit on Ratchadaphisek Road, Sam Sen Nok subdistrict, Huai Khwang district. They arrested Jaruwat Pribwai, aka Waw, aged 44, and seized computers, notebooks, and an iPad.
Cyber patrol officers discovered the TikTok account “เจาะลูกหนัง วาว77ดาว” with over 5,329 followers and 14,800 likes. The suspect posted videos and live streams posing as a football expert analyzing key matches and accurately predicting outcomes. After gaining followers' trust, he covertly advertised and invited viewers to gamble online via Line ID and websites. Investigations linked the Line group to two major gambling sites: https://ufafat11.com/ and https://member2.ufa747.farm/. They offered promotional gifts like sports shirts, bags, cups, and hats to new members who deposited amounts from 300 to 2,000 baht.
During the search, Jaruwat was resting after live-streaming the World Cup round of 16 match between the United States and Belgium. Upon questioning, he admitted being paid 50,000 baht per month for two months to perform this role.
Authorities initially charged him with illegal advertising to induce others to gamble without permission, violating the Gambling Act, and transferred him to the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau for further legal proceedings.
