Prachinburi police arrested a 70-year-old man who shot his 60-year-old sister dead and seriously wounded his brother-in-law after a failed negotiation over inherited land surveying in Nikom Phatthana, Rayong Province.

Most recently, at 16:00 on 9 July 2026, it was reported that police intercepted and arrested the 70-year-old man who fled in a four-door pickup truck from Rayong Province in Nadi District, Prachinburi Province.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a handgun placed on the back seat. Police have initially taken the 70-year-old man in for questioning.
