Nearly 30 Male Students and Trainee Teachers Allege Sexual Misconduct by LGBTQ Social Studies Teacher at Prestigious School

Male students and trainee teachers at a renowned school in the Chorakhe Bua area have appealed to the 'Saimai Must Survive' group, claiming they were sexually harassed by an LGBTQ social studies teacher who groped their thighs and touched their genitals. Nearly 30 victims from the entire grade have come forward.

At 10:30 a.m. on 12 July 2026, at the coordination center of the 'Saimai Must Survive' Facebook page on Wat Ko Road, Saimai District, Bangkok,
Mr. A (alias), 18, and Mr. B (alias), 18, both Grade 12 students at a prominent high school in Chorakhe Bua, along with Mrs. C (alias), 45, the aunt of a male trainee teacher at the same school, came to seek assistance from Mr. Ekaphop Luangprasert, founder of the 'Saimai Must Survive' page, and Mr. Niran Kaewao, co-founder. They reported that nearly 30 male students and a male trainee teacher had been sexually molested by Mr. Rungruangsap (surname withheld), approximately 45, a social studies teacher who identifies as LGBTQ. He allegedly groped their genitals and that the trainee teacher was also a victim.

Mr. A said he was first abused in early June 2024 when he was in Grade 10. Sitting at the front desk, the teacher touched his thigh and tried to reach inside his pants to grab his genitals. He pushed the teacher's hand away and said he was uncomfortable. The teacher then repeatedly tried to harass him both inside and outside the classroom from Grade 10 through Grade 12, sometimes summoning him privately. When he refused, the teacher would confront him during morning assembly, questioning why he did not comply. Feeling distressed, Mr. A moved his seat to the back of the classroom. Over the past 2–3 years, when the teacher could no longer target him, he victimized several of Mr. A’s classmates, with 4–5 students in his class affected.

Mr. B said that whenever assignments were due, the teacher would call him into a room alone, close the door, and subject him to similar abuse as Mr. A. This included thigh touching, groping, fondling, and invasive questioning about masturbation and sexual experiences. Mr. B was first abused in early November 2025 and has been repeatedly victimized since.

Regarding why they did not report the abuse earlier, the victims said they did not want trouble with teachers. They confided in male classmates across grades and learned that nearly 30 students had suffered similar abuse, with none consenting. Recently, the case has come to light, prompting relevant authorities to investigate. The teacher was transferred in early July to the Secondary Education Service Area Office Bangkok Region 2 on Lat Phrao Road, Sam Sen Nok Subdistrict, Huai Khwang District, Bangkok. The victims also stated that the teacher had previously taught at a school in Minburi and was transferred to the current school four years ago due to similar misconduct.

Mr. A and Mr. B said the most recent incident occurred on the evening of 7 July 2026, when the teacher allegedly tried to follow them in a car, causing safety concerns. Both filed a sexual misconduct complaint against the social studies teacher at Khok Kram Police Station on 10 July 2026.

The trainee teacher’s aunt said her 21-year-old nephew, a good-looking fourth-year university student in Ratchada, had been doing his social studies teaching practicum at the school. The accused teacher was his mentor and evaluator. After less than two months, the trainee teacher showed signs of depression and suicidal thoughts but endured the practicum because graduation was imminent.

Mr. Ekaphop said he will coordinate with the affected male students and their guardians to follow up on the case at Khok Kram Police Station to ensure legal action is pursued.
