
Progress in the Lat Phrao brewery fire case: The forensic police chief revealed that identification examinations of all 27 deceased have been completed, expecting 1-2 days after relatives provide complete DNA samples.
On 13 July 2026 at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Police Hospital, Pol. Maj. Gen. Wirun Supasinghsiripreecha, commander of the Institute, reported on the identity verification progress. He stated that the examination of all 27 bodies has been completed, but they are still awaiting DNA samples from relatives to compare and confirm identities. Officials are currently trying to contact relatives of victims who have not yet been reached.
If relatives come forward and provide DNA samples themselves, the comparison and verification process is expected to take about 1-2 days to complete identity confirmation. So far, more than half of the relatives have already contacted officials and provided DNA samples.
