Police Chief to Announce Arrest of Local Exam Fraud Network on 15 July 2026 After Detaining Three Suspects

The Central Investigation Bureau chief is preparing to announce the arrest of a local exam fraud ring tomorrow, 15 July 2026, after detaining three suspects. Authorities plan to further verify the suspects' statements.

At 3:00 p.m. on 14 July 2026 at the Government House, Pol. Lt. Gen. Nattasak Chaowanasai, chief of the Central Investigation Bureau, spoke about the arrest of Sergeant Phichit, Dr. Win, and his sister—three suspects in the local civil service exam fraud case. He asked the public to await an official announcement, expected on 15 July, possibly chaired by Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

When asked if the suspects' testimonies were helpful to the case, Pol. Lt. Gen. Nattasak said the details would be revealed at the 15 July press conference. He added that he would soon visit the Central Investigation Bureau to review the interrogation reports.

Asked whether those named Kit and Som in the audio clips would be summoned for questioning, Pol. Lt. Gen. Nattasak said a separate task force is investigating, but so far they have little information.

When asked if there were any further lines of questioning needed, Pol. Lt. Gen. Nattasak said the main focus is reviewing the evidence and testimonies. They will verify the statements with the Institute of Forensic Science. Details on specific interrogation topics will be disclosed after reviewing the issues.
