Following government policy and directives from Police Chief Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet, the Cyber Crime Division and related agencies have intensified efforts to crack down on online gambling networks, especially football betting sites that openly defy the law, while monitoring and preventing youth involvement during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The investigation by Division 4, Cyber Crime Division 4, uncovered that the "sexygame" website had more than 8,000 members, operated for seven months, and handled an average monthly turnover exceeding 10 million baht. The site illicitly offered various gambling options including international football betting, lottery, slots, baccarat, dragon tiger, hi-lo, pok deng, and other forms of gambling.
Further investigation revealed that this gambling website secretly operated from a hill tribe community in Thailand, with Mr. Sitthichok and Ms. Arada acting as website administrators. Authorities gathered evidence, obtained court warrants for arrest and search, and arrested them at their residence.
During initial questioning, both suspects confessed they had only worked as administrators for this gambling site for one month, earning a monthly salary of 15,000 baht each. The operation reportedly earned profits of several million baht per month.
They face charges of "collaborating to provide gambling services or using schemes to entice, advertise, or directly or indirectly invite others to gamble via electronic media without official permission." Both suspects have been handed over to the investigators at Doi Saket Police Station for legal proceedings.
