Arrest Made in Burglary of Influencer’s Home, Theft of Family Heirloom Amulets Worth Over Half a Million Baht

Progress update: Police arrested the burglar who broke into an influencer’s home and stole family heirloom amulets worth over half a million baht. The suspect has prior warrants but denies the latest charges, claiming he was just fishing nearby.

The case involves Mr. Nopparat Klahan, 54, and Ms. Narumon Iamtheerakul, 36, influencers and owners of the Double Tarb channel with over 78,000 followers. They reported to the media that their home in the Bang Krai community, Bang Kruai district, Nonthaburi province, was burglarized on 13 June 2026. The suspect took advantage of their absence to climb a ladder, pry open a window, and steal family heirloom amulets, collectibles, and valuables worth over 500,000 baht before fleeing with the items.

The latest development on 16 July 2026: Police Colonel Kittisak Pongthanarak, Chief of Bang Kruai Police Station, Deputy Superintendent Chanchai Waranyuratna, and Superintendent Phailawan Nomjannuk jointly arrested Wacharin, 31, at a location on Road 340 between Bang Bua Thong and Suphan Buri in Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi province. He was wanted under Nonthaburi Provincial Court warrant no. J.865/2569 dated 17 June 2026 for nighttime residential theft using a vehicle to facilitate the crime or transport the stolen property.

Authorities also seized numerous items including one Takrud amulet of Luang Pho Thonglor from Wat Prodsat, four yellow sacred cloths, 38 various amulets, one wooden rosary necklace, one hunting knife with sheath, four boxes of sacred powder amulets, one locket of King Rama V, one badge of Luang Pu Reusi Ling Dam, one locket of King Rama IV, and two coins of Luang Pho Dam Duang from Wat Bang Chak.

This arrest followed Wacharin's prior charge for stealing car batteries opposite Bang Kruai Police Station, leading to an arrest warrant from Nonthaburi Provincial Court. Investigators linked his behavior to the burglary case involving Ms. Narumon and her husband. They traced him to a dormitory in Village 7, Lahan Subdistrict, Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi, where they conducted a search, seized numerous items, and brought him to police custody. The suspect admitted to being the individual named in the warrant.

Ms. Narumon revealed that after the investigation unit apprehended the suspect, they coordinated for her to identify him and inspect the seized items. During the confrontation, she asked about the missing property, but the suspect continued to deny involvement in the burglary, insisting he was merely fishing nearby and accused the police of fabricating charges.

Ms. Narumon added that the seized items are currently being examined to confirm if they were stolen. Since the incident, her family has installed additional CCTV cameras around their home due to fear of repeat offenses. She expressed relief that the police apprehended the suspect promptly, thanked the Bang Kruai investigation team for their efforts, and urged that the case be fully prosecuted.

However, while Wacharin denies burglary charges related to Ms. Narumon's home, he admits to the prior charge of stealing car batteries covered by an existing warrant.

Initially, police charged him with "nighttime residential theft using a vehicle to facilitate the crime or transport the stolen goods," as per the Nonthaburi Provincial Court warrant. The investigation into Ms. Narumon's case is ongoing, with prosecutors gathering evidence to request additional warrants and proceed legally. Meanwhile, investigators continue to track down and recover the remaining stolen items.
