Court Denies Bail, Sends Mallika to Prison Citing High Penalty and Flight Risk

The Criminal Court dismissed the bail petition, denying bail for "Mallika," a QRS broker executive in the Forex case, citing the high penalty, risk of flight, and tampering with evidence. She was taken into custody at the Central Women's Correctional Institution.

On 16 July 2026 at the Criminal Court on Ratchadapisek Road, following the Special Investigation Division's procedures, Ms. Mallika, an executive and director of QRS Education Co., Ltd. (the operator of QRS Global in Thailand) and suspect in a Forex investment fraud case, was brought before the court for detention. She continued to deny all allegations, and the Criminal Court allowed her detention.

It was reported that Ms. Mallika submitted a bail request with collateral, which was under consideration by the Criminal Court.

Subsequently, the Criminal Court rejected Ms. Mallika's bail request because the charges carry severe penalties, involve significant damages, and represent organized criminal conduct with divided roles. The case is serious and affects the economy widely. Considering objections from the investigator and the victims, there is reasonable belief that the suspect might flee or tamper with evidence. At this stage, the court deemed it appropriate to await further investigation results and denied bail during the inquiry, dismissing the petition and promptly informing the suspect of the decision.

Later, correctional officers transferred Ms. Mallika to be held at the Central Women's Correctional Institution.
