Police Sergeant Uses Off-Duty Time to Earn an Honest Living Selling Crispy Pork Customers Flock, Peak Sales Reach 20 Kilograms a Day

Local residents praise Police Sergeant Chakkree Paengphet, patrol squad leader at Mueang Nakhon Nayok Police Station, who works in the administrative division and uses his off-duty hours to earn an honest living selling crispy pork. He smiles brightly, saying it is a very good side job. He sells no less than 10 kilograms daily, with peak days reaching up to 20 kilograms.

On 20 July 2026 at Mueang Nakhon Nayok Police Station, reporters received a tip from locals about a very diligent police officer worthy of admiration. After work, he earns extra income honestly by selling crispy pork and stir-fried crispy pork with basil at the Suan Luang Rama 9 Walking Street Market in Nakhon Nayok Municipality.



Reporters visited the Suan Luang Rama 9 Walking Street Market in Nakhon Nayok Municipality and found Police Sergeant Chakkree Paengphet, patrol squad leader at Mueang Nakhon Nayok Police Station working in the administrative division, diligently selling crispy pork to customers. There was a continuous queue of buyers, and the crispy pork sold out every day.




Sergeant Chakkree explained that he works in administration and earns extra income after his evening shifts. He was appointed as a police officer on 1 February 2017 and has served for nine years. He is married with a one-year-old daughter. He started his side business after duty and on days off by selling fermented fish pork in 2020. Currently, he sells crispy pork and stir-fried crispy pork with basil, a business he has maintained for three years. Crispy pork is priced at 80 baht per 100 grams, 380 baht for half a kilogram, and 750 baht per kilogram, while stir-fried crispy pork with basil sells for 60 baht per box.





"It is a very good side job. I sell no less than 10 kilograms a day, with peak days reaching 20 kilograms. I regularly sell at the Suan Luang Rama 9 Walking Street since it is close to my residence, and also at Mam and Nong markets or at events throughout Nakhon Nayok province."
