On 20 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Nattasak Chaowanasaai, Commander of the Central Investigation Bureau, revealed after attending a meeting with the National Police Chief and the fact-finding committee that the meeting resolved to prepare and submit the facts and details of persons involved in the local government official exam corruption case to Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn Nilprapunt by 5 Aug 2026 GMT+7.
Regarding the investigation following the Ministry of Interior officials’ complaint to the Crime Suppression Division to prosecute individuals involved in corruption and leakage of local official exam answers, investigators will hold a detailed case meeting this evening to consider summoning 11 persons found in a residence in Nonthaburi province on the day of the raid to acknowledge charges. The specific charges are still under review. Additionally, they will consider inviting the professor responsible for the project to acknowledge charges as well.
As for progress on tracking financial transactions, the investigation is ongoing. If any links to individuals are found, those persons will be prosecuted immediately without exception, since the Crime Suppression Division is responsible for collecting evidence before submitting all details to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
All documents and evidence related to this case will be forwarded to the Prime Minister for consideration of further action. The information will come from two main sources: the police fact-finding task force and the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
