The Phra Nakhon Tai District Court delivered a verdict in the case of “Bang Mat Khlong Tan” slapping “Santhana” in the middle of a nightclub parking lot in the Thonglor area. The defendant pleaded guilty and was fined 5,000 baht without imprisonment.
On 22 July 2026, the Phra Nakhon Tai District Court issued rulings for case numbers A2401/2568 and A1731/2569 concerning a brawl in front of a nightclub in the Thonglor area, an incident that drew public interest after video clips were widely shared online.
The case stemmed from an April 2025 incident where Mr. Wanchai Ma-in, known as “Bang Mat Khlong Tan,” had a verbal dispute with Mr. Santhana Prayoonrat before Bang Mat slapped Santhana in the face in the nightclub’s parking lot, in front of followers from both sides and bystanders. The widely circulated video sparked social debate.
During the trial, Wanchai admitted to assault charges. The court therefore imposed a fine of 5,000 baht without a prison sentence, concluding the case through the justice process.
This case attracted public attention because the parties involved are well-known figures and the incident occurred in a public place, ending with a guilty plea and payment of the court-ordered fine.
