The incident involved Patrol Sergeant Phisanu Malaison, who used a 9mm handgun to shoot Sub-Lieutenant Yutthapong more than 10 times, causing injuries. This occurred after they returned from social drinking and had a personal argument about work, which escalated. The shooting took place at the Bang Khla Highway Police Service Station, under Highway Police Division 1, Region 3, Chachoengsao, at 01:30 on 23 July 2026, as previously reported.
At 09:00 on 23 July 2026, at Bang Khla Police Station, Police Colonel Sumit Promtong, Chief of Bang Khla Police Station, along with the deputy chief of investigation and investigators, personally questioned Patrol Sergeant Phisanu Malaison, the suspect. Phisanu appeared tense and spoke little, stating he wished to speak only in the presence of legal officials. However, he initially confessed that the shooting was due to work-related issues, combined with differences in age and rank, which led to opposing views and an inability to communicate with understanding.
Most recently, Patrol Sergeant Phisanu Malaison exercised his right to have a lawyer present during questioning. After the interrogation, authorities placed him in the holding cell at Bang Khla Police Station before arranging to bring him to the Chachoengsao Provincial Court for detention hearings tomorrow.
