Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, together with Deputy Commissioner Pol. Maj. Gen. Theeradej Thammasuthi, concluded the sustainable community project to address drug problems and introduced a model "Sustainable Factory," distributing survival bags at Bang Bon Police Station.
At 08:00 on 24 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom presided over the closing ceremony of the sustainable community project aimed at comprehensively solving drug problems in line with the national strategy, using the "Sustainable Factory" model at Ban Nai Phon Agricultural Community 2 (Supaporn Plastic Factory) on Ekachai Road, Bang Bon Nuea Subdistrict, Bang Bon District, Bangkok, under Bang Bon Police Station jurisdiction. The event took place on the evening of 23 Jul.
Attending were Deputy Commissioner Pol. Maj. Gen. Theeradej Thammasuthi, Deputy Commissioner Pol. Maj. Gen. Pallop Aermla, Police Major General Tinnakorn Somwandi, Chief of Metropolitan Police Bureau's Operations Division, Police Colonels Suthee Prommali, Theerachai Dedkard, Chaiphan Petsodsilp, and Akkarachai Chaemchoi, Deputy Commanders of Metropolitan Police Division 9, Police Colonel Thanames Vichitjariya, Chief of Bang Bon Police Station, Deputy Chiefs Police Lieutenant Colonels Somsak Kerdsaeng, Supakorn Kantalak, and officers from the Bang Bon Police Station Police Commission Committee, Supaporn Plastic Factory executives, Bang Bon District Assistant Director Udomlak Miwiset, administrative officer Pichaya Yinghan representing the Bangkok Office of the Narcotics Control Board, officials from Thonburi Women's Correctional Institution, educational representatives, Health Center 65 staff, factory workers, and local residents.
Activities included social and health services: Rajasitthikararam Technical College provided free motorcycle oil changes, and Health Center 65 offered free health check-ups for residents.
To promote occupations and community products, Thonburi Women's Correctional Institution, Ban Nai Phon Agricultural Community, and the Phakphumjai Community exhibited and sold local products. Youth and recreational activities included the TO BE NUMBER ONE campaign from Wat Ninsukharam School, Ban Nai Rian School, and Ban Nai Phon School, along with musical performances by students from Seknaree Wittaya School.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom honored the sustainable communities, sustainable factory, and key contributors with certificates of appreciation and donated five wheelchairs to elderly and ill residents to alleviate hardships in the community.
At 16:00 on the same day at Bang Bon Police Station, Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, accompanied by senior officers, the Metropolitan Police Wives Association, and the Bangkok Police Administrative Oversight Committee, visited to boost morale and monitor operational performance.
Police officers and the Bang Bon Police Commission Committee lined up to welcome the delegation at the station entrance. The Police Commissioner and team paid respects to the station's sacred objects for good fortune before receiving a report on Bang Bon Police Station's operations.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom addressed the officers, emphasizing honest service, citizen-centered policing, and building public trust in law enforcement. He praised the personnel's efforts in implementing National Police policies, particularly in drug prevention, public safety, and strengthening community resilience in their area.
The Police Commissioner presented gifts to Police Colonel Thanames Vichitjariya, Chief of Bang Bon Police Station, to encourage effective administration. Scholarships were awarded to police officers' children, and morale-boosting items were given to Bang Bon Police personnel to show care and support for their ongoing public safety duties.
After the ceremony, the Police Commissioner and delegation took a group photo with officers and shared dinner with personnel at the Bang Bon Police Station housing area. The informal setting allowed for open discussion, feedback, and fostering good relationships between commanders and subordinates, enhancing morale and readiness for future public service missions.
