The Central Investigation Bureau is preparing to issue summonses for " two senior executives" to acknowledge charges related to " local exam fraud" alongside 11 officials who were present at a residence during a search in Bang Yai district, Nonthaburi province.
On 26 July 2026, a high-ranking source from the Central Investigation Bureau disclosed an update on the local exam fraud case. Yesterday, investigators from the Crime Suppression Division requested the Criminal Court's approval to issue arrest warrants for two suspects of higher rank than Sergeant Pichit Thangprom. However, since both accused hold senior official positions and have fixed residences, and were implicated by previously arrested suspects, the court decided it was appropriate to issue summonses for them to acknowledge charges instead.
The source added that on Monday (27 July), investigators will issue summonses to the suspects found at the residence during the search in Bang Yai district, Nonthaburi, for acknowledgment of charges on Friday, 31 July. All will face charges including criminal conspiracy and gang involvement, criminal code section 188 concerning damage, destruction, concealment, removal, or loss of others' wills or documents in a way likely to cause harm to individuals or the public, and violations of the Computer Crime Act for introducing false data into the system.
Additionally, summonses will be issued to two higher-ranking individuals than Sergeant Pichit to acknowledge the same charges, with added allegations of official misconduct.
