Authorities have mobilized forces to search for the two missing Russian siblings by deploying police dogs "Yaya" and "Hunter" to scent-track as part of the operation after detecting their last mobile phone signal near Siricharoenwan Forest Park and the Khao Chi Chan cliff.
Updates on MISS DIANA NAZIMOVA, 22, and MR. ROMAN NAZIMOVA, 17, two Russian siblings who disappeared with a Honda motorcycle in the early morning of 26 July 2026: The motorcycle was later found dismantled and buried near the old Thung Luang cemetery close to Chak Taeng intersection in Moo 9, Huay Yai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, but the siblings remain missing as previously reported.
At 10:00 on 30 July 2026, Pol. Maj. Gen. Kiattisak Sarathongoi, Commander of the Investigation Division Region 2, led police officers, Bang Lamung district officials, and police dogs "Yaya" and "Hunter" from the Metropolitan Police Bureau in a planning meeting at the Khao Chi Chan Elephant Garden area, Na Jomtien Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi, to determine search strategies in suspected areas.
Officers divided into several teams to search various locations in Na Jomtien Subdistrict, Sattahip District, and Huay Yai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, using scenario simulations and behavioral analysis of the suspects to identify likely areas where evidence or bodies might have been concealed before conducting detailed searches at these target sites.
Meanwhile, officers used clothing belonging to the missing siblings for scent tracking by the police dogs before searching water ponds and abandoned buildings in Na Jomtien Subdistrict, areas believed to be connected to their disappearance, aiming to find further traces or evidence.
Regarding rumors that the missing siblings may have traveled to Chanthaburi Province, the investigative team reported that they have deployed personnel to check the area but so far have found no evidence confirming that the two left the local area.
This search operation for the two Russian siblings follows a special investigation by police using mobile phone tracking technology, which showed that at 04:35 on 26 July, the siblings were riding their motorcycle on Highway 331 (Sattahip-Chachoengsao), made a U-turn before reaching Sattahip Police Station, and headed towards Sattahip District before turning right onto Khao Chi Chan Road.
Around 05:00, the siblings' mobile phone signals disappeared, as did the signal from Mr. Pong's phone. The last detected location was between Siricharoenwan Forest Park and the Buddha image carved into the Khao Chi Chan cliff, prompting police to plan a concentrated search in this area.
