Ruangdet is coordinating to acknowledge charges related to the local exam fraud case tomorrow (31 Jul 2026). Meanwhile, investigators are preparing to add charges against three suspects held in prison for exam fraud, and the case will be transferred to the Anti-Corruption Court.
Following the Crime Suppression Division's summons of Mr. Theerut Supaviboonpol, former Director-General of the Department of Local Administration Promotion, and Mr. Ruangdet Sirikit, Director of the Testing and Psychological Education Office at Srinakharinwirot University, as well as 11 others involved in altering exam questions in a residence in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi, to acknowledge charges, as previously reported.
On 30 Jul 2026, reporters reported that tomorrow (31 Jul) Crime Suppression Division investigators will go to Bangkok Remand Prison to charge Win Thanapochropokin, advisor to the director of the Promotion and Training Office at Kasetsart University, Ms. Satporn Thanapochropokin, Win’s sister, and Sergeant Major Dr. Phichit Thangphrom, director of the Strategy and Budget Division of Wichian Buri Municipality, Phetchabun Province, with supporting government officials in performing their duties improperly under Criminal Code Section 86 in conjunction with Section 157, punishable by two-thirds of the penalty for the original offense, due to their involvement with government employees.
After the charges are filed, the next step is to transfer these three suspects’ cases from the Criminal Court’s jurisdiction to the Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases. This will also include all 13 suspects who will be charged. Once completed, Crime Suppression Division investigators will submit the case files to the National Anti-Corruption Commission for legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ruangdet is scheduled to meet investigators tomorrow (31 Jul) at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Theerut has requested to postpone his meeting to 6 Aug. The other 11 suspects summoned to acknowledge charges are expected to request postponements to next week due to this week being a long holiday.
