“Fluke” Claims He Was Deceived into Involvement in Triple Homicide Case, Feared Reporting Due to Threats

"Fluke" claims he was deceived into joining the criminal group driving the pickup truck with a family of three. He admits that Pong wore a police uniform but says he did not dare report the crime for fear of being killed to keep him silent. He also apologized to the victims' family.

At 12:00 PM on 3 Aug 2026 GMT+7 at Najomtien Police Station, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, reporters were informed that after police completed additional questioning of Mr. Chatchanan, or Fluke, 24, they would return him to custody at the prison according to the detention order. Since the suspect was already detained by the court, police had to request court permission for further questioning, and after the process, he must be taken back to prison as required.

At 12:30 PM, police from Najomtien and Huay Yai Police Stations (the jurisdiction handling the case) escorted suspect Mr. Chatchanan back to Pattaya Central Prison in accordance with the detention warrant.

While being taken to the detention vehicle, reporters had the chance to ask Mr. Fluke, who said he was misled into going along, believing he was only helping detain someone. He acknowledged that the case involved drug-related issues but was unaware beforehand that a murder would occur.

When asked whether the perpetrators were dressed as police officers, Mr. Fluke admitted he knew from the start that those individuals were not real police officers. Regarding why he did not report the incident to authorities afterward, he said he feared being harmed or killed to keep him silent because he was threatened. He also said Pong knew his family but admitted he was the driver of the victims’ pickup truck, which he drove to collect from their home and never touched again.

Additionally, Mr. Fluke apologized for the incident and expressed regret, wishing to apologize to the victims' families. He insisted that if he had known a murder would occur, he would not have agreed to go along. However, when asked who fired the gun that killed the victims, the suspect did not answer before officers quickly escorted him into the detention vehicle.

Reporters noted that on the day of the triple family homicide, CCTV footage from 28 Jun 2026 at 00:17 (camera time is 25 minutes behind actual time) showed a group led by Mr. Pong driving a bronze Chevrolet four-door pickup truck with a covered bed, registered in Rayong, which belonged to the victims. The vehicle passed through Thung Kha community heading toward Chaktang Motorway Bridge intersection in Najomtien, then proceeded to the crime scene where the bodies were buried in a coconut plantation beside the new Highway 7 (Bangkok–Map Ta Phut) toward Map Ta Phut, at kilometer marker 139, Village 11, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, about 12 kilometers from the victims’ home.

Later, around 6:00 AM, the group led by Mr. Pong was seen driving the victims’ pickup truck back along the same route to park it at the victims’ home after burying the bodies. The entire incident took about six hours. Mr. Chatchanan, or Fluke, admitted he was the driver of that pickup truck and that after the crime, he returned the vehicle to the victims' home and never touched it again.
