The Pattaya Provincial Prosecutor was the plaintiff, prosecuting Ming Chen Sun, 31, a Chinese national, along with one other, for unlawful possession of war firearms, ammunition, explosives, military equipment, and radio communications devices.
This case arose on 8 May 2026, when police seized a large cache of weapons and military equipment from the defendant, including war firearms, ammunition, magazines, high-explosive C4 explosives, bomb-making components, bulletproof vests, radio jammers, and communication radios. Ming Chen Sun was found to possess these items without authorization.
During the trial, Ming Chen Sun confessed to all charges. The second defendant denied the allegations, leading the court to temporarily remove the second defendant’s case from the docket.
