Regarding the case revealing the story of "Ai Pong" it was claimed that a police officer, formerly an investigator at Huay Yai Police Station who is now retired, was Ai Pong's boss responsible for directing and overseeing cases, including involvement with drugs during his time as an investigator.
Subsequent reports confirmed the officer's existence as a former investigator at Huay Yai Police Station, previously serving at Bang Lamung Police Station. Before retirement, he held the rank of Police Lieutenant in 2010.
Most recently, at 7:00 p.m. on 4 August 2026, reporters met the accused police officer at a residence in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, and spoke with Police Lieutenant Kasorn, also known locally as "Daborn" He opened up, saying he is the police officer mentioned online and came today to clarify. He is a retired investigator from Huay Yai Police Station, retired 12 years ago, now aged 72.
He admitted to arresting Ai Pong frequently—3 to 4 times in Huay Yai and additional times in Bang Lamung—mostly for theft, drugs, sexual assault, and bodily harm cases.
He recalled that in his youth, Ai Pong was unruly but not as violent as today. Now, Ai Pong has become much more brutal. Every time he arrested Ai Pong, Ai Pong never negotiated or tried to bribe him but accepted imprisonment because he feared Kasorn. Kasorn said he repeatedly advised Ai Pong to reform and stop treating jail as home.
He firmly denied ever being Ai Pong's boss or having him as an informant as alleged online, stating he was never involved and never protected Ai Pong. He emphasized, "I hate him."
He added that Ai Pong never came to see him except when arrested, and suggested asking local leaders to confirm. Regarding recent events, he described Ai Pong's behavior as shockingly violent beyond what he had known.
