Narcotics Suppression Division 2 dismantled the “Dark Farm 888” network in Roi Et province, which laundered drug money by converting more than 4 rai of land into an animal farm. Assets worth over 95 million baht were seized. The mastermind is based in Laos and has his wife managing the farm on his behalf.
On 17 Nov 2025 GMT+7, officers from Division 3, Narcotics Suppression Division 2 (Udon Thani Narcotics Suppression Unit) arrested two suspects with 62,000 methamphetamine pills near Soi Suriyadej Bamrung 11, in front of Roi Et Provincial Prison, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Roi Et province. Investigations traced connections to Mr. Thanawat (alias), a member of a drug trafficking network with prior offenses. On 15 May 2026 GMT+7, authorities arrested three additional suspects with 325 methamphetamine pills. These individuals were hired couriers transporting drugs for a mastermind residing in Laos, using the Line application. They received drugs from Maha Sarakham province to deliver in Roi Et. After completing deliveries, they collected payment at a well-known farm in Roi Et. The mastermind, wanted under an arrest warrant by Narcotics Suppression Division 2, has his wife managing the farm.
Today (5 Aug 2026 GMT+7) at 06:00, under the command of Police Lieutenant General Achayon Kraithong, Commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, Police Major General Sombun Thienkhao, Deputy Commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, and Police Major General Itthiphon Jansributr, Commander of Narcotics Suppression Division 2, coordinated with Acharat Police Station, local administrative authorities, expert investigators and policy analysts, narcotics law enforcement support staff from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board Region 4, district veterinary officer Mr. Somchat Senachai, and over 80 officers from Division 3, Narcotics Suppression Division 2, to launch a raid and asset seizure operation targeting the “Dark Farm 888” drug network in Acharat District, Roi Et province.
During this raid on the “Dark Farm 888” drug network, authorities seized assets believed to be proceeds of drug trafficking, including an animal farm covering 3 rai 2 ngan 22 square wah valued at 50 million baht; one resort valued at 20 million baht; two houses with land worth 4 million baht; vehicles including cars and motorcycles totaling 3.6 million baht; 1,000 gamecocks valued at 10 million baht; nine ornamental buffaloes worth 5 million baht; two breeding cattle valued at 500,000 baht; 590,000 baht in cash; and five baht-weight of gold jewelry valued at 350,000 baht. The total value of seized assets exceeds 95 million baht. Further investigation revealed that the mastermind coordinates with his wife, who manages the farm, to conduct financial transactions paying the drug couriers. The family operates gamecock breeding, ornamental buffalo farming, and cattle breeding as fronts to launder drug money.
Police Lieutenant General Achayon Kraithong, Commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, stated that under the bureau's main policy, investigations are rigorously expanded to identify masterminds, financiers, supporters, and all accomplices. This includes scrutinizing bank accounts, financial transactions, assets, and individuals holding assets related to the network to establish links to criminal activities. Measures to seize and freeze assets are strictly enforced. Assets connected to criminal offenses will be processed under seizure or freezing laws, regardless of whether they are held by suspects, associates, or third parties acting as proxies. Importantly, prosecutions under the Anti-Money Laundering Act aim to cut off financial channels, thereby sustainably dismantling the entire network's capacity.
