Mother of Two Russian Siblings Announces Farewell Ceremony Tomorrow Police Prepare to Rescan Crime Scene in Five-Body Case

The mother of two Russian siblings announced a farewell ceremony tomorrow (6 Aug 2026) to hold a moment of silence in remembrance of the deceased, while police prepare to rescan the crime scene to resolve the five-body case.

On 5 August 2026, progress was reported in the murder and concealment case involving two Russian victims and a Thai family of three in Huay Yai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

Recently, the mother of Diana and Roman shared a video clip on the Threads platform showing her children alive, smiling, and cheerful, deeply moving those following the news.

At the same time, the mother publicized the schedule for a memorial ceremony to allow the public to pay their final respects, including mourning the Thai family who also died in the same incident. The event is set for Thursday, 6 August 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. Attendees are invited to bring flowers and join in a moment of silence to honor the deceased.

Meanwhile, in response to social media reports alleging that photos of two police officers were removed from the personnel board at Huay Yai Police Station amid claims of police involvement with the key suspect “Pong,” reporters investigated and confirmed that two officers' photos were indeed missing.

However, inquiries with officials clarified that the photos belonged to officers who had been transferred from Huay Yai Police Station to other departments earlier, and their removal was routine, unrelated to the online allegations. Photos of officers still serving at Huay Yai Police Station remain displayed as usual.

Regarding case developments, police and Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation staff from Pattaya have cleared grass and leveled the area around the scene where the father, mother, and child bodies were found. Though no official statement was made about the operation, sources revealed that on 6 August, authorities plan to bring scanning equipment to re-examine the site. This follows initial investigations where suspects “Pong” and “Thong” gave conflicting testimony about two key spots, necessitating specialized equipment to verify facts and find further evidence for the case file.

During the grass clearing to prepare for scanning, a T-shirt, water bottle, and food container were found in the forest area, though their ownership remains unknown.
