After officers from Division 4 of the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) conducted searches at two locations—the residence of Tone Thong Sukkaen, known as "Tone Bangkae," in Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province, and his amulet company also located in Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province.
Later, at 14:07 on 6 Aug 2026 GMT+7, at the Pitak Santi Building of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Tone Thong Sukkaen, or "Tone Bangkae," a famous amulet expert, was taken into custody by officers from Division 4 of the Economic Crime Suppression Division for questioning. Tone Bangkae wore a cast on his left arm, dark sunglasses, and tried to force a smile in response to reporters' questions.
Reporters asked several questions. Tone Bangkae said, "The more scrutiny, the more dignified. I am willing to undergo the process." When asked if he was confident in his innocence, he replied, "I am confident already."
When asked if he wanted to say anything, Tone Bangkae said, "It's good. Being scrutinized makes one dignified. I affirm that I have never fled."
Regarding where he had been the previous night, Tone Bangkae gave a brief answer: "I did not go anywhere."
When asked whether he came voluntarily or was arrested by police, Tone Bangkae stated, "I came to show my sincerity. I am here to demonstrate my innocence and enter the process."
However, when reporters inquired about the amulet viewer cameras, specifically the issue of their prices being higher than market rates and how limited the edition is, Tone Bangkae did not answer these questions.
Reporters further noted that investigators are expected to question Tone throughout the night before placing him in a detention cell at the complaint center building. He will then be brought to the Criminal Court for detention proceedings tomorrow.
