Police Grant Bail to Tone Bangkae with 1 Million Baht Cash Bond, Citing No Flight Risk

The Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) police granted bail to 'Tone Bangkae' after he posted a 1 million baht cash bond following fraud charges. The suspect denies all allegations and plans to submit a written statement.

On 6 Aug 2026, Mr. Tonthong Sukkhaen, also known as 'Tone Bangkae' an amulet expert, was detained by the ECD police under an arrest warrant for fraud involving the sale of amulet viewing cameras. He allegedly exaggerated their capabilities and set the price at 15,999 baht each.

Recently, Mr. Tonthong filed for bail, posting a 1 million baht cash bond. Investigators approved the bail, and the legal process is currently underway.

During questioning, Mr. Tonthong continued to deny the charges but cooperated fully with investigators. He is preparing to provide additional details in a written statement later.

Initially, investigators granted bail for four reasons: 1. The suspect shows no sign of fleeing. 2. No indication he would tamper with evidence, as most evidence has already been collected. 3. The offense is not severe, with estimated damages around 3 million baht. 4. Bail conditions were aligned with Supreme Court regulations, setting the bond at 1 million baht.
