
Tragic development as police deployed forces to the home of the suspect in the Thepsirin Nonthaburi school shooting. They found two more deceased individuals— the suspect’s grandparents—shot in the head. It is suspected these killings occurred before the suspect went to school.
At 12:49 on 7 Aug 2026 GMT+7, reporters updated on the latest situation following the shooting at Thepsirin Nonthaburi school, which left 15 injured and 7 dead, including the suspect, a student. The suspect used a 9mm firearm to shoot himself and subsequently died while being transported to the hospital, as previously reported.
Later, Police General Samran Nualma, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, Police Lieutenant General Nopasyl Poolsawat, Commander of the Office of the Commissioner-General, and Mr. Pornpeer Suwanchavee, Deputy Minister of the Interior, visited the scene to investigate, collect evidence, interview witnesses, and examine the origin of the firearm and motive to establish official facts.
Most recently, the Nonthaburi Provincial Police investigation team went to the suspect’s residence in a village on Soi Wat Lat Pla Duk, Bang Bua Thong area, to check details and determine motives.It was found thattwo more bodies were discovered inside the house, identified as the suspect’s grandparents, who had been shot in the head with a firearm.
Reports indicate the suspect had lived with his grandparents continuously, while his parents had divorced since he was a child.
