Tragically, police deployed forces to the home of the suspect involved in the Nonthaburi Thepsirin School shooting and found two more fatalities—his grandparents—shot in the head. It is believed these murders occurred before the school attack.
At 12:49 PM on 7 Aug 2026 GMT+7, reporters provided the latest update following the shooting at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi, which left 15 injured and 7 dead. The suspect, a student, used a 9mm handgun to harm himself and later died en route to the hospital, as previously reported.
Subsequently, Police General Samran Nualma, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Police Lieutenant General Nopasil Poolsawat, Commander of the Office of the Police Commissioner, and Mr. Polpee Suwanchavee, Deputy Minister of Interior, visited the scene to investigate, collect evidence, interview witnesses, and examine the weapon's origin and motive to officially clarify the facts.
Most recently, the Nonthaburi Provincial Police investigative team went to the suspect’s residence in a village on Wat Lat Pladuk Alley in Bang Bua Thong district to examine details and determine motives.:They found two more deceased inside the house, identified as the suspect’s grandparents, both shot in the head with a firearm.
Reports indicate the suspect lived continuously with his grandparents, as his parents had separated since he was a child.
