On 7 Aug 2026 GMT+7, reporters stated that a Grade 9 student opened fire on teachers and students inside Debsirin School, Nonthaburi, causing 7 deaths (according to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation) and injuring 21 others.
Of the 21 injured, 19 were students and 2 were teachers. They were taken to various hospitals as follows.
Preliminary names of the deceased include six individuals: Mr. Kittipong Somrat, Deputy Director of Administrative Affairs; Ms. Saifon Sirikitjakorn, classroom secretary; Ms. Tiwaporn Wanich, guidance counselor; Second Lieutenant Nangchanatporn Nakplang, Thai language teacher; Ms. Praphaporn Konsila, mathematics teacher; and the 14-year-old male suspect.
The Thai Red Cross National Blood Centre posted on Facebook that it coordinated with hospitals near Debsirin School, Nonthaburi, to reserve blood supplies in preparation for treating the shooting victims.
