Police inspected the residence of the shooter at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi. Relatives said the shooter was not an aggressive child, showed no signs of mental health problems, loved his grandparents very much, and no gunshots were heard during the incident.
Reporters stated that a Grade 9 student opened fire on teachers and students at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi, causing six deaths including the shooter and about 21 injuries. When authorities investigated the student's home to determine the cause, they found two additional deceased—his grandfather and grandmother. The grandfather was shot dead in the kitchen, and the grandmother in the bedroom. It is believed the shooter killed them before heading to the school, as previously reported.
At 13:30, the SeeTrue Thairath TV team visited the shooter’s grandparents’ home in Bang Bua Thong district, where multiple agencies were inspecting the scene amid interest from neighbors and relatives living nearby.
Uncle Daeng, a close relative of the deceased, said the family often visited each other in this neighborhood where everyone is related. Three people lived in the house: the grandfather, grandmother, and the shooter. There were no signs indicating the student had serious mental issues. He was not aggressive, mostly kept to himself at home, only going out on holidays or to school. Importantly, the family knew the boy loved and respected his grandparents very much, as they raised him after his parents separated. No one expected he would commit such a tragic act.
A neighbor living next door said no gunshots or unusual sounds were heard that morning before the incident. Although the houses are close, neighbors mostly keep to themselves. The neighbor had seen the shooter occasionally but not often; he mostly stayed at home. The grandparents were well known in the community, having lived there a long time. The grandmother was a teacher in a nearby village. The incident was shocking, and everyone was stunned by the shooting at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi. Shortly afterward, it became known that the shooter had killed his grandparents at home before going to the school.
