On 8 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Dr. Sakon Sukphrom, director of Phra Nangklao Hospital, stated that the hospital received three severely injured students from the Debsirin School shooting in Nonthaburi: a 12-year-old girl shot in the head in critical condition in the pediatric ICU; a 14-year-old boy shot in the shoulder who had surgery to remove a bullet and is improving in the ICU; and a 13-year-old boy shot in the shoulder blade with bleeding in the chest cavity who had a chest drainage tube inserted and is improving in the emergency building.
After the 12-year-old girl was admitted, she passed away at 13:19 GMT+7. Police subsequently took her body at 15:00 GMT+7 to hand over to officials for an autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Science.
The 14-year-old boy, a third-year secondary student who underwent surgery yesterday to repair chest blood vessels, remains on a ventilator and cannot breathe independently yet. He is being trained to breathe on his own but is conscious and able to follow commands.
The 13-year-old boy, possibly a first- or second-year secondary student, had bleeding in the pleural cavity. Doctors inserted a chest drainage tube yesterday. He is not on a ventilator, is breathing independently, and is conscious and alert.
Both boys are still receiving treatment in the ICU and are considered in critical condition. Doctors are keeping a close watch on their progress.
