Bus Crashes Into Motorcycle, Crushing Sergeant Major to Death at Khlong 7 Intersection

Accident occurred "Bus" collided into the rear of a motorcycle, crushing the body of "Sergeant Major" who died at the Khlong 7 intersection; police are investigating the cause before proceeding with legal steps.


At 05:30 on 9 Aug 2026, Police Lieutenant Colonel Aditep Phocharoen, investigative officer of Thanyaburi Police Station, received a report of a bus rear-ending a motorcycle causing a fatality at the old traffic light intersection of Khlong 7, Rangsit Subdistrict, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province. He promptly went to the scene with volunteers from Ruamkatanyu Foundation.

At the scene, a white bus registered in Pathum Thani belonging to a company in Mueang Pathum Thani District was parked with visible damage and scrape marks on the front left side. Underneath the bus lay the body of Sergeant Major Boonpa Boonmetta, deceased. Volunteers quickly worked to retrieve the body. Nearby, a red motorcycle registered in Bangkok, belonging to the deceased, was found overturned with damage to its rear caused by the collision.

The bus driver involved was identified as Mr. Sathien, 37, who remained at the scene to give his statement. Reporters attempted to question him about the incident and its cause, but he declined to provide any information or interviews.

Police initially documented and photographed evidence at the scene and are preparing to conduct detailed interviews with the bus driver and witnesses to determine the cause and sequence of events before proceeding with legal action.

Mr. Jakrapong Khachawana, a volunteer from Ruamkatanyu Foundation, stated that at about 05:30 they received a report of a bus rear-ending a motorcycle at the old traffic light intersection of Khlong 7. Upon arrival, they found the deceased trapped under the bus with no vital signs. The team then extracted the body and handed it over to the relevant authorities for autopsy procedures.
