Following the shocking incident where a Grade 9 student opened fire inside Debsirin Nonthaburi School, eight people died and many were injured. Later, one critically injured victim died, bringing the total to nine, as previously reported.
Most recently, at 11:00 on 9 Aug 2026 GMT+7, it was reported that at the Police Hospital's Institute of Forensic Medicine, the parents of a 12-year-old girl, a Grade 7 student at Debsirin Nonthaburi and the ninth victim, came to claim her body to conduct religious rites at Lat Pla Duk Temple, Nonthaburi, amid deep sorrow. The girl's father briefly said, “I will take her now.”
Pol. Maj. Gen. Wirun Supasing Siripreecha, commander of the Police Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine, disclosed the autopsy results of the female Grade 7 student victim from Debsirin Nonthaburi School. She was shot in a critical area (head), with one bullet lodged, causing brain rupture that led to death.
Regarding the cause of death of the suspect, a male student, amid speculation whether it was self-inflicted or a police shooting, initial information indicates that the Plai Bang Police Station in Nonthaburi will provide details, as they have various information from the scene and related persons.
