In the latest development regarding Chalor Riewrung, former Nonthaburi MP, who allegedly shot Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert, Chief of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, causing his death and injuring his driver earlier this morning, as previously reported.
On 10 Aug 2026 at 18:30 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Dechaphee Kongdee, Commander of Nonthaburi Provincial Police, along with the superintendent of Rattanathibet Police Station and special operations officers, escorted the suspect Chalor to his private home in Suan Yai subdistrict, Mueang Nonthaburi district, Nonthaburi province. Police entered the property to conduct a search. The suspect’s family did not allow the media to enter but permitted only the police officers. They asked the media to wait outside the house gate.
The search lasted more than 40 minutes before police exited Chalor's residence and returned to Rattanathibet Police Station.
The search aimed to find additional evidence, including weapons and motive. Police found 30 rounds of 11 mm ammunition. According to household members, the 11 mm firearm had been sold previously. Opening the safe revealed only general documents unrelated to the case.
At 19:20 GMT+7, police brought Chalor back to Rattanathibet Police Station. He appeared visibly exhausted but did not respond to any questions.
