Later, on 19 August 2026 at 01:40, under the direction of Pol.Col. Adirek Pothipan, Superintendent of Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station, along with Pol.Lt.Col. Natthawat Thakoorchaikorn, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation, Pol.Sgt.Maj. Pichet Jaiyen, Investigation Officer, and Pol.Lt. Kanason Suksard, Deputy Patrol Officer, supported by the first operations patrol team, went to the entrance of Main 3, Rattanakosin 200-Year Village, Prachathipat Subdistrict, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province. They detained two suspects: Ms. A (alias), 30, and Ms. B (alias), 33, charged with soliciting, enticing, or persistently following persons in public to engage in prostitution in a manner that is public and offensive or causes disturbance (Section 5 of the Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act B.E. 2539), punishable by a fine not exceeding 1,000 baht.
At 22:00 on 19 August 2026, the Investigation Division of Pathum Thani Provincial Police (EOD unit) conducted an inspection following complaints near the Rattanakosin 200-Year Village. The operation found no groups of offenders.
Regarding this matter, on 21 August 2026, reporters learned that at 22:30 on 20 August, at the meeting room of Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station, the investigative team, together with the Pathum Thani Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office, held a meeting to discuss solutions to the ongoing issue of women involved in prostitution.
Subsequently, over 30 officers from the investigative team of Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station, local administrative officers from Thanyaburi District, and Pathum Thani Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office conducted an inspection around Rattanakosin 200-Year Village and near Rangsit Railway Station. They observed one woman who, upon seeing the officers, quickly stood up and fled despite calls to stop, disappearing immediately. Officers then inspected the area beside the railway station and found two women sitting in a group. They approached and questioned them; both women admitted to regularly waiting there to engage in prostitution.
One woman told reporters, “I come from another province and live in Pathum Thani. My main job is collecting and selling recyclables. At night, I come to this area to engage in prostitution. I earn about 300 to 400 baht per client per day, though some days I have no customers. I had to separate from my husband and have children to support.”
Meanwhile, a group of riders waiting for work near where the women gathered—several dozen people alongside the railway—said that normally, every night, groups of women gather here in groups of several dozen. However, after the crackdown and social media exposure, most of these women have disappeared. The riders added that during their time here, they have never seen these women cause any disturbance to local residents.
The police invited the two women to file official statements and proceeded with fines related to their cases.
