The arrest followed a report to Bang Rak investigation officers about gunshot-like sounds inside the house. Officers went to inspect and found the suspect and his elder brother standing there. Both acknowledged ownership of the house and allowed the officers to search the residence.

The search uncovered one 12-gauge shotgun shell on the suspect’s mattress, eight homemade firearms, and the related ammunition hidden scattered throughout the suspect’s room.

During questioning, Supapon stated that he personally made some of the homemade guns as collectibles, and that some firearms and bullets were given to him by a friend.

Initially, the suspect and the seized items were charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition without registration authorization. The case was forwarded to Bang Rak Police investigators for legal proceedings.
