Dam Ban Tai, the Suspect in the Stabbing of Sergeant Jack191, Surrenders and Will Be Held Tomorrow, 22 Aug 2026

"Dam Ban Tai" surrendered to investigators after a violent fight broke out at a popular shrimp fishing pond, stabbing "Sergeant Jack191," who was injured. He will be presented for detention tomorrow (22 Aug 2026) before noon.

A video circulated showing a group of men fighting and exchanging punches at a birthday party hosted by a prominent figure. "Sergeant Jack191," a police officer attending the event, intervened and was stabbed and injured. The incident took place during a party at a shrimp fishing pond restaurant in the Ladprao-Wanghin area on the night of 19 Aug.

After the incident, investigators at Chokchai Police Station issued an arrest warrant for "Dam Ban Tai," also known as "Bangreen Ban Tai," on charges of attempted murder and illegal possession of a knife in a public place. Initially, "Dam Ban Tai" contacted authorities to surrender, as previously reported.Read the report: Chokchai Police Chief reveals “Dam Ban Tai” contacted to surrender after stabbing “Sergeant Jack191” at shrimp fishing pond.)

Most recently (21 Aug 2026), it was reported that "Dam Ban Tai" coordinated with police to surrender, accompanied by a lawyer. He refused to be photographed or provide any statements to the media, choosing to give information only to investigators.

Mr. Noraset Thaiset confirmed his innocence, stating that on the night of the incident, he did attend the birthday party but only stayed until the cake-cutting. After that, he went elsewhere and was not present during the fight. The footage some have mentioned shows him pointing toward a friend's table but does not indicate he was giving orders as alleged.

Regarding the cause of the conflict, he said he did not know the details and was unaware of any dispute between Moo Tawanna and Nueng Bangkapi, as it was a matter among seniors that he did not want to get involved with. His friend, Kamnan Frank, who was punched, had not yet decided whether to press charges. He also stated he had never known "Dam Ban Tai," the suspect who stabbed Police Lieutenant Sitthichai.

Additionally, it was reported that Moo Tawanna has come to give a statement to police at Chokchai Police Station but avoided the media, as she was not ready to provide information publicly. She only gave a statement to investigators.

The reporter noted that the investigators will present "Dam Ban Tai" to the Ratchada Criminal Court to request detention tomorrow (22 Aug) before noon.
