'Dam Ban Tai' was denied bail and must remain in prison as the court ruled his actions were brazen and showed no respect for the law following a brawl at a shrimp fishing pond in the Lat Phrao area.
On 22 August 2026, after the detention process was completed, Mr. Chalor Ruangied, known as 'Dam Ban Tai,' the suspect in the case of a brawl causing serious injury to Police Lieutenant Sirichai Petchin, or 'Lieutenant Jack,' an officer of the 191 police unit under the Patrol and Special Operations Division, at Sergeant Ud Ratchada's birthday party held at a shrimp fishing pond in Lat Phrao on 19 August.
Subsequently, the suspect filed for bail, but the Criminal Court, after considering the severity of the charges and circumstances, found initial evidence that the suspect acted brazenly in public without fear of the law. The court deemed the offense serious and believed that if released on bail, the suspect might flee or interfere with evidence. Given the prosecutor's opposition to bail, the court denied the request and dismissed the bail application.
