Anti-Trafficking Police raided a karaoke bar in Pak Nam Pho city that was secretly prostituting girls under 18 years old, rescuing four minors and arresting one suspect on human trafficking charges.
On 26 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Police Major General Witthaya Sriprasertphap, Commander of the Anti-Trafficking Division, ordered Police Colonel Chawinroj Pheemaratchatthamrong, Superintendent of Division 4, along with Police Lieutenant Colonel Weeraphong Silinlee and Police Captain Kronek Borirakkul, to cooperate with the International Protection Alliance (IPA) to arrest Ms. Wadee, known as “Ple” (surname withheld), aged 46, at a karaoke bar in Nong Pling Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Sawan province.
This arrest followed information received by Division 4 that the karaoke bar was secretly involved in underage prostitution. Undercover agents confirmed that Ms. Wadee owned and managed the bar, controlling staff, scheduling rooms, and handling payments. Agents then posed as clients to purchase sexual services from a 17-year-old girl for 2,000 baht, paying via the bar’s QR code before being led to a nearby resort room. Officials then revealed themselves and arrested Ms. Wadee while assisting the minor.
Subsequently, another team raided the karaoke bar, finding Ms. Ple at the counter along with nine female employees. Among them, three were underage girls aged 16 working undercover. In total, four minors under 18 were rescued from the venue.
The suspect confessed that the bar deducted 500 baht each time from the children’s earnings.
Authorities charged her with human trafficking by exploiting child prostitution, procuring, luring, or transporting minors under eighteen for immoral purposes, inducing or allowing children to behave indecently, and operating an unlicensed establishment. She was then handed over to Division 4 of the Anti-Trafficking Bureau for legal proceedings.
The four rescued minors were referred to a multidisciplinary team and the Nakhon Sawan Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office to undergo screening, protection, psychological rehabilitation, and receive all rights and welfare support.
