The Deputy National Police Inspector is intensifying efforts to enforce conduct and discipline among police officers, stressing adherence to National Police Office policies. During visits to two police stations in Songkhla Province, he warned commanders against negligence, stating they will be held accountable for any lapses or failures in responsibility.
Today (27 August 2026), Police Lieutenant General Trairong Phiwpan, Deputy National Police Inspector and spokesperson for the National Police Office, said that Police General Kittirat Phanphet, National Police Chief, and Police General Itthipol Achariyapradit, Deputy National Police Inspector, have emphasized strict enforcement, control, and enhancement of police officers' conduct and discipline, as well as effective duty performance. They also instructed all police stations to closely monitor the behavior of ex-offenders.
Yesterday, he visited Songkhla Province to inspect police officers at Mueang Songkhla and Thung Lung police stations. He was welcomed by Police Colonel Suwarot Lunhawittayanon, Deputy Commander of Songkhla Provincial Police; Police Colonel Keerati Triwai, Superintendent of Mueang Songkhla Police Station; and Police Colonel Chansarawut Saengarun, Superintendent of Thung Lung Police Station, along with officers from both stations who participated in training demonstrations, inspections, and policy briefings.
Police Lieutenant General Trairong delivered a policy directive to enforce, control, and strengthen police officers’ conduct and discipline, aiming to prevent and monitor misconduct and take action when inappropriate behavior is detected. He emphasized that commanders who neglect duties or delay action without reasonable cause, resulting in harm, will face accountability for their deficiencies and responsibilities.
He also ordered every police station to report on ex-offenders’ behavior by linking data through the CRIMES system and to monitor their activities closely. This proactive approach aims to enhance operational effectiveness and ensure public safety.
