Urgent! "Big Tao" led the PACC police team to raid and arrest Nai Kong Heng, also known as Phuyai Heng, a prominent figure in Sisaket, for extorting money by claiming to have quotas to help candidates pass local government civil service exams. Several victims believed this and paid 650,000 baht, but ultimately failed the exams and were repeatedly evaded when requesting refunds.
At 11:40 on 27 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Natsak Chaowanasai, Commander of the Crime Suppression Division, assigned Pol. Maj. Gen. Jaroonkiat Pangkaew, Deputy Commander, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Prasow Chalempun, Director of the PACC, to lead officers in arresting Mr. Prawit Jaruratchakun, aka Nai Kong Heng or Phuyai Heng, aged 62, under warrant no. 56/2569 issued on 25 Aug 2026 GMT+7 by the Regional Criminal Court for Corruption Cases Region 3. He is charged with soliciting or accepting property or other benefits for himself or others to corruptly influence officials, legislators, provincial council members, or municipal council members to perform or omit official duties benefiting or harming persons, under Criminal Code section 143 and the Anti-Corruption Act 2018 section 175. He was arrested at a condominium on Pracharat Sai 1 Road, Bang Pho, Bang Sue district, Bangkok.
This arrest followed reports from victims who were approached by Ms. Nawaporn Prueprang, an officer at Tongpid Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Sisaket Province and another subject under warrant, who invited them to apply for local government civil service exams. She claimed that Mr. Prawit Jaruratchakun, or “Nai Kong Heng,” a former Thai Rak Thai Party parliamentary candidate, had quotas enabling exam success. The victims believed this and paid the two suspects a total of 650,000 baht over three installments. However, after the exams, the victims failed selection and when seeking refunds, the suspects continuously avoided repayment. Consequently, the victims filed complaints with the PACC Division 3 investigators, prompting a formal case and warrant issuance.
Later, investigators learned that Mr. Prawit had left Sisaket Province and was hiding at the mentioned condominium. Police subsequently deployed forces and arrested him there.
However, recent reports indicate that during the arrest, Mr. Prawit denied all charges and asserted his innocence. He has been taken into the legal process. Further updates will be provided in due course.
