Anti-corruption police from the Provincial Police Bureau arrested another suspect, an administrative officer working in the engineering division of La-ao Subdistrict Municipality, collaborating with Mayor Heng in a local government exam bribery case.
At 12:00 p.m. on 27 Aug 2026 GMT+7, after arresting Mr. Prawit Vanichrakul, known as Mayor Heng, Pol. Maj. Gen. Prasong Chaebpan, Commander of the Provincial Police Bureau, ordered Police Section 3 to arrest Nawaporn Pruerprang, 35, an administrative officer in the engineering division of La-ao Subdistrict Municipality, Nam Kliang District, Sisaket Province. She was wanted under arrest warrant no. 57/2026 dated 25 Aug 2026 issued by the Regional Anti-Corruption Court 3, on the same charges. She was arrested in front of the Nam Kliang District Office after collaborating with Mr. Prawit Vanichrakul to extort money from victims seeking to bribe for local government recruitment exams.
She was then taken to Nam Kliang Police Station in Sisaket Province for arrest documentation and further legal proceedings.
